FC ŘÍČANY – established 1901

This year celebrated FC ŘÍČANY 108 years since its establishment, which proves that sport in our town is inseparable part of our lives. Our football club has now nine teams: team of the smallest players (3-6year old), preparatory team, younger juniors, older juniors, youth team, first men team, reserve men team, women team and veterans. In these teams play almost 300 athletes and we try to persuade more young people to play in our club. The increasing of number of children and young people to do some sport is the main goal of our club.

Teams from play in ŘÍČANY the competitions of Central Bohemia Region and district Prague East and especially our young teams are playing very good. Our first team leads the highest competition and they are heading to move up into the lowest regional competition (1.B class).
Youth team plays 1.A class, so as our younger junior team and older junior team. Both our junior teams are playing very good and they are currently laying on 6th place in their leagues. In this age category the good results hang on, whether you have strong and good year of players and so we are trying to purchase more young players from nearby village football clubs. In the youngest categories we are again trying to enlarge the number of the smallest players, to have more good players to choose from, when they move up to older clubs. Last year we also established women team and they entered Czech third league.
Four years ago the cooperation between FC and Rugby ŘÍČANY club ŘÍČANY started. Both clubs wanted to build modern and high-quality sport grounds, not only for club needs, but also for all young people form, ŘÍČANY who want to do sports. From the money support form the town of, Central Bohemia region, TJ-SC district Prague East and sponsors we built new small football pitch (58 m x 27m) with synthetic grass and also a new big football pitch(grass) with irrigation.
FC ŘÍČANY is one of the biggest sport clubs in the town of ŘÍČANY and associated municipalities. We will continue with developing the sports activities of children and young people, to make their physical and moral development to be in common with healthy life. We also would like to enlarge the number of members and players, especially young people. In next two years we would like to set up a football class in basic school in ŘÍČANY.
